This one's a classic.

I don't know if I've ever seen pure gold in the sky before

I had to walk around so the sun was behind the biggest bush there in the middle, to be able to take it. I was just walking the dog alongside an informal football match being played by two teams of Asians. In another part of the park, what sounded like Africans, were having an organised barbeque with a small marquee. But yours truly was more interested in the golden sunset.

With 12 sky pics you could make a wonderful calendar: call it The Willesden Skies Calendar. It could be sold at the Spotted Dog and other places.

That's my creative thought for this hour.

It's still early-ish here.

A brilliant idea, and I would love to do that, but the pictures are too low resolution / small for the Cafe Press calender, for example. I use this size for online purposes but if I used the kind of resolution needed for a calendar, I would have to take pictures that would take too long to load online. I think that is the position - I'm just a beginner at this. Cafe Press has a very good wall calendar product, taking 13 images(one for the front) but it needs pictures 11.5'' by 9'' approx and these are much smaller. Then it's about $13 + postage and I can't see many people paying that much for a calendar. Maybe, if they were Willesdonians.

Yes, I wondered about the technical challenges of such a project - and then there are always the mortifying production costs. And the uncertainty of the market.

A better idea is needed.

Park?

Where is King Edward park? I've never heard of it and I've lived in and around here for twenty years!

I never answered Des's question all that time ago (2003) - sorry! It's the park behind the Willesden sports centre.
