Established 2003. Now incorporating The Sudbury Hill Harrow and Wherever End Times

Wednesday, August 13, 2003

I was just looking at some clouds behind a rooftop at the back of Willesden Herald House, when like flicking a switch the sun turned on this light show for me.

Ossian

More sunsets. Will it never end? Where's the news? Ed.

What do you want - muggings, car crashes, cloacal government? Right, you prefer that to the sun, do you? Right. Right. I'm outta here.

I'm constantly being undermined here. I am the under-mind. The carving knife has still not been found. You think I took it, don't you? Have you looked down the back of the unit? No. Of course not. Look. Look!

You am as sane as I are.

RELAX

Ossian, Ossian. That business of the carving knife has been long forgotten. Probably it was thrown in the bin by mistake by the cleaners. Yeah, that must be it. Don't worry!

I'm only winding you up. It's a lovely picture. Let's make the best of what we've got. The Herald can't afford to lose you. Now can we please keep this wire line free for news.

Point 7 Polarised

My quick calculation after viewing the picture through a Point 7 Polarised Lens is that anyone born in the atmosphere depicted by this photograph would have a life expectancy of 43 years (+/- 2).

The global fuel-economy's by-products will kill us.

Private cars must be forced off the road on days beginning with an S and a W. This would reverse this trend almost immediately for all except those living within 350 yards of a bus depot employing Routemaster buses or in the Swiss Cottage area within 350 yards of Finchley Road.

Right!

George is right. My son and I are building a biosphere in the garden and we don't care who damn well knows it.

The fact that Bush, Cheney, Blair and the other criminals battling for global domination of the supply of fossil fuels are all having biospheres built on the dark side of the moon should be proof for even the most sceptical that we are damn well doomed unless we say "Sod it!" and build our own biospheres.

Don't suffocate! Innovate!

And if you don't then you damn well deserve to die.

You foolish people

If this is global warning I say bring it on!

My sister and her family have just paid 2 grand for a week on the Algarve and it's pissed down for 5 of the 7 days. I've had a fortnight on the sick on a deckie in the back garden and I've got a tan like a fucking Gurkha all for nothing.

And I haven't had to eat all that foreign muck into the bargain and spend a week on the bog with the Portuguese Plops.
