Parliamentary by-election, 18th September. Update

The Willy has sent a complimentary Willesden Herald mug to Liberal Democrat candidate Sarah Teather, for being a sport.

The Conservatives are flat-lining in Brent East at the bottom of the list of possible winners. The Liberals are narrowing the gap on New Labour. Even though Labour has actually given us the rebuilt hospital, and let's not forget the new City Academy, specialising in sport (which is really Uffington Road school rebuilt) and okay, okay, the Sports Centre and stadium are being rebuilt, yeah, yeah but the thing is - IRAQ - duh! We cannot let them get away with it. This is a matter of life and death.

Now the only problem here is what about Harold Immanuel, the independent Labour candidate. And how could we forget the Herald's own write-in candidate, Feargal Mooney (Amnesty for Personal Debt and Mortgages Abolish Private Medicine and Education Party). It may be that Immanuel will split the Labour vote and let Sarah Teather in. That would be okay, on one condition, that she is seen sipping from her Willesden Herald mug as the results are announced.

Labour

Can New Labour go into the next election with a cabinet full of liars and warmongers who patently knew the score long before the real kicking match started but who are so woefully idiotic that either they couldn't foresee the dynamics of cause and effect arising from the US clique's unilateralism and/or didn't care that British children would be dying alongside Iraqi children. To have a party led by such a gang winning another election would signal a heartbreaking emptiness in moral life in our country. Remove the criminals, remove the liars, remove the arms salesmen and their parliamentary agents. Vote Immanuel. And if that allows Teather in so be it.

I think the Conservatives deserve a chance. That Mr Duncan-Smith seems very nice.

Bugger the lot of them. Ineffectual hardly describes them. Their relevance and power is now less than the mob and significantly less than the industrial polluters and arms manufacturers. The fight's gone out of the lot of them. Pathetic careerists.

And Mary...shut up. You know bugger all about anything.

very good

Cheers.

Talking to the Willy:
I just think, y'know, there are two ways of looking at everything. I chose your candidate - that's my way - and then there's - y'know, other people - and I made the right decision, so that's that, really. I've been in this game long enough, look I've scars on my back, and quite frankly, I'm the one who has to tell you what to do, so, y'know, my decisions are right. quite frankly, get over it.

Internal mail.

Dear E - in - C

I am afraid I deplore this drift in language which sees this august journal being referred to as "The willy". To have Dr Francis call across the office that I enjoy working for the willy is disgraceful and puerile. Could someone have a word with him - and rather more forcefully than the previous word about the misuse of the toilet facilities.

Thank you.
