To Hell with their stupid sincerity

Sometimes people try to say, "Oh but the government sincerely believed this-and-that -." Who cares? The point is we don't want governments that sincerely believe untrue nonsense. We want a government that's capable of recognising a pile of steaming Texas horseshit when it meets it. Did they believe they were right not to vaccinnate in the Foot-and-Mouth epidemic? Who cares? Fuck them [Tut tut. Who posted this? Ed.] - they got it wrong. Countries should be governed by clever, flexible, adaptable people of good will, not by bottled-up dimbo dimwit [Ed.] control freaks who would rather eat their own faeces than admit they they are on the wrong track.

No byline*

*Malcolm, you are treading a fine line. Ed.

"clever, flexible, adaptable people of good will"... Yes, because in our time, we've seen enough of the how-to-make-things-go-wrong types. You'd think by now that we would demand leaders (this includes the category 'politicians') who have a track record of good results in community service endeavours and a c.v. that demonstrates the relevant areas of expertise and values. How else are we to judge/vote wisely? Maybe it's time to draft a profile of what the ideal leader is. If we don't have a measuring stick, we're bound to flounder in the muck at the barrel's bottom. 'Course there's always the thorn in one's side called 'deception'. What are the chances of getting rid of that?
There is no absolute monarchy anymore -- not in Britain or the U.S. or any of the former Commonwealth countries. We like to think we are the bastions of democracy. And yet we are not proactive when it comes to our leadership questions. We wait to be spoon fed with whatever the powers-behind-the-throne decree. And then we complain about the results. It's like Sisyphus, shouldering the boulder to the top of the hill over and over again...it's almost like there's some nobility attached to repetitive martyrdom.

Blair should be hooked up to a lie detector. It would be good for the morons who swallow his shit.
